Rimi Sen
Biography
Rimi Sen is an Indian actress whose career has centered on Bollywood films. She was born Shubhomitra Sen in Kolkata, West Bengal, and studied commerce at the University of Calcutta and trained in Odissi dance under Guru Aloka Kanungo. After moving to Mumbai, she appeared in advertisements, including a Coca-Cola spot with Aamir Khan, and soon began receiving film offers. Her first film role was as the female lead in the Telugu movie Nee Thodu Kavali. Her first Hindi release, Vijay Galani's comedy Hungama, came out in 2003 and paired her with Akshay Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani and Paresh Rawal. She went on to appear in bigger productions such as Golmaal (2006), Dhoom (2004) and Garam Masala (2005). She also had a cameo in Dhoom 2 (2006), then appeared in Johnny Gaddaar with Neil Nitin Mukesh. Later credits included De Taali in 2008 and Sankat City in 2009.
