Biography

Rebekah Del Rio, born Rebekah Coronado in Chula Vista, California, was an American singer, songwriter and actress. The San Diego Union-Tribune placed her among the top ten singers in San Diego, and she moved to Los Angeles in 1989. After recording Llorando, a Spanish version of Roy Orbison's Crying, she went to Nashville in 1994, signed with Irving Azoff's Giant Records and made her first album, Nobody's Angel; in a 2022 Guardian interview she said the title track hit No. 2 on the Dutch singles charts. Her vocals appeared on soundtracks including Sin City, Man on Fire and Mia Sarah. She had a cameo in David Lynch's 2001 film Mulholland Drive, singing Llorando a cappella, and supplied solo vocals for a string arrangement of The Star-Spangled Banner in Richard Kelly's Southland Tales (2006). She also performed No Stars, written with David Lynch and John Neff, during the tenth part of Twin Peaks: The Return.
