Phyllis Davis
Biography
Phyllis Davis was an American actress who worked mainly in television. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, in 1940, she moved to Los Angeles in 1965 and studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse. Her feature films included Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970), Sweet Sugar (1972), Terminal Island (1973), and The Day of the Dolphin (1973). She also played Scarlett O'Hara in Train Ride to Hollywood (1975). On television, she guest-starred on Love, American Style, Knight Rider, Magnum, P.I., The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, The Wild Wild West, and Adam-12. She was best known for co-starring on the ABC series Vega$ from 1978 to 1981 as Beatrice Travis, the office manager and girl Friday to Robert Urich's detective Dan Tanna, appearing in all 69 episodes. Davis died in 2013.
