Patrick Murray
Biography
Patrick Murray was a British actor who began performing in stage plays at 15 after spotting an advertisement for a theatrical agency, and was born in Greenwich, London. One of his earliest screen parts came in the television series The Terracotta Horse, and he played Dougan in the 1977 television play Scum (1977), reprising the role when Alan Clarke remade it as a feature film, Scum (1979). Further small film roles followed in Quadrophenia and Breaking Glass, but he became best known as Mickey Pearce in the sitcom Only Fools and Horses, a part he played in 20 episodes from 1983 to 2003. That led to guest spots on The Bill and Dempsey and Makepeace and a role in The Firm (1989) with Gary Oldman. He later appeared in Vikingdom (2013) and Endeavour, and his final part was in Conditions. He died in 2025.
