Paddy Jenkins
Biography
Paddy Jenkins is a Northern Irish actor who became a familiar face to audiences at home through his Ballymena Man in a series of shopping center advertisements. Christmas crowds at the Grand Opera House knew him as Smee in Peter Pan and as Muddles in Snow White, and he returned to that theater in Marie Jones' the Blind Fiddler, a production that also reached the Edinburgh Festival in 2004. Before that he had played in the pantomimes Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella on Botanic Avenue. In 2004 he took the part of Sam in On Eagles Wing, a Scotch/Irish extravaganza staged at the Odyssey Arena. His stage work also took in center stage, Dubblejoint and An Grianan. On television he played Pastor Begbie in Give My Head Peace; for the BBC he turned up in I fought the Law, Pulling Moves and Eureka Street, and for RTE in Cracking Crime and The Bomb Maker.
