P.J. Marshall

P.J. Marshall was born in Saddlebrooke, New Jersey. He spent most of his childhood raised in Georgia and moved to Southern California when he was in his early teens. Marching to the beat of his own drum P.J. spent his teenage years as a surfer, chasing girls. When he was twenty years old he lost his father suddenly to cancer. Soon after as refuge he began training in the martial arts and found focus and vision for his life's passion, acting. P.J. moved to New York City with $200 in his pocket. P.J. got his big break when he landed a role on Law and Order as a homeless man. He was so believable in his role that the casting director actually thought he was homeless. The rest, as they say, is history. P.J. studied acting at the Wynn Handman Studio in New York City. He credits his teacher and mentor for becoming the actor he is today. Always putting his own unique stamp on his work, P.J. has been compared to acting greats such as Jack Nickolson, Steve McQueen and Gary Oldman. P.J. can be seen in the 2011 film Catch .44 opposite Forrest Whittaker and Bruce Willis. Other guest starring roles on television include the new series Law and Order: Los Angeles as public Defender "Jimmy". Other credits include guest starring roles on "Law & Order: SVU", "OZ", and "Ghost Stories." His film credits include, "Ghetto Dawg", "Amnesia" and "Whipper Snapper". He has also appeared in numerous Off-Broadway plays such as "Reservoir Dogs", "A Lie of the Mind", "Getting Out" and "Traillerville" to name a few. He snagged the lead role of a gambling addict in the film "The Run". In 2010, he originated the role of District Attorney Mike Genacco in the play "Fabric" based on the true story of human trafficking in El Monte, California. P.J. received critical acclaim as "Eddy" in Sam Shepard's "Fool for Love", which landed him a Garland Award nomination for performance. P.J. resides in Los Angeles, California.
