Nicholas Kadi

Nicholas Kadi is an actor whose first work came with the New York Children's Theater. Born in 1952, he studied performing arts at Adelphi University, graduating magna cum laude, and later trained at The Decroux Mime Studios in Paris. In 1970 he took part in the fifteenth annual Yale Drama festival with Pillory theater, and a C.E.T.A. grant brought him to La Mama E.T.C. in New York, where he taught movement to fellow actors between 1976 and 1979. An Obie came his way in 1980 for his performance in The Writer's Opera at Theater Of The New City in New York, and he appeared in many New York productions under directors Tom O'Horgan, John Vaccarro and Andre Serban. He used his mime skills to play a gorilla that speaks in George Of the Jungle, his first job with Henson's Creature Shop, where he later helped develop motion capture and worked on many productions. He also appeared in commercials.
