Biography

Neil Nitin Mukesh, born January 15, 1982, is an Indian actor who started out as a child artiste at roughly four years old, appearing in Yash Raj's Vijay and Vimal Kumar's Jaise Karni Waise Bharni. Playing Govinda as a boy in the latter brought him more appreciation than Govinda received, and the reaction stayed with him. He earned a B.Com from HR College, and at his father's urging kept his attention fixed on acting from his school years. While at college he assisted Aditya Chopra on Mujhse Dosti Karoge, and during holidays he trained in a four-month workshop with Kishore Namit Kapoor and at Anupam Kher's institute. Though lead roles were offered to him early, he held off rather than make his debut in a love story. Sriram later offered him a film whose script he liked, one that required an ensemble cast.
