Neil Hallett

Neil Hallett was a Belgian-born English actor whose stage work began in regional repertory in 1947. He made his West End debut in 1949 in Maiden's Prayer, an army comedy. During the mid-1950s he appeared for over a year in the hit comedy All for Mary, opposite David Tomlinson and Kathleen Harrison, and played the same role in Wendy Toye's 1955 film adaptation. From 1952 he worked often in British television, guesting in series such as The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Avengers, Z-Cars, Doctor Who and Jeeves and Wooster, and holding regular roles in Ghost Squad from 1962 to 1964 and The Newcomers from 1968 to 1969, as well as co-starring in The Informer. On screen he appeared in X the Unknown (1956) and Model for Murder (1959), and later in Game for Vultures (1979); among his sexploitation credits were Groupie Girl (1970) and Virgin Witch (1971). He retired in 1991 and died in 2004.
