1. 

   Big break

   Budd's Hollywood break arrived in 2001, when the Wachowskis chose him to stand in and serve as a body double for Laurence Fishburne in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. Following 200 shoot days, the directors gave him the role of Zion Controller.

2. Early training

   Budd trained in London in acting and staging, finishing the Meisner technique through the Impulse Company in 2010. He then took stage roles in Chekhov, Shakespeare and Mamet, including Othello in a shortened Othello at the Tristan Bate Theatre in the West End.

   Languages

   For The Cold Light of Day, cast by Mabrouk El Mechri as the Mossad agent Esmael, Budd performed dialogue in both Hebrew and English.

4. Behind the camera

   Budd directed, produced and starred in the horror thriller Love of My Life, which won the Best Horror/Thriller award at the Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival in Oregon.

5. Behind the camera

   The screenplay for Budd's second feature, Life of the Party, which he co-wrote, was included in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' permanent Core Collection.
