Biography

Marcus Scribner is an American actor from Los Angeles who started acting lessons when he was seven. At ten he landed his first guest spot, on the ABC crime dramedy Castle, and later turned up in New Girl, Wedding Band and Wendell & Vinnie. When he was fourteen he was cast as Andre Johnson Jr. on Black-ish, the ABC sitcom, the part that made his name; his first season as Junior brought a nomination from the NAACP Image Award for supporting work in a comedy. He voiced Buck in Pixar's The Good Dinosaur (2015), played Bow on the Netflix cartoon She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and also lent his voice to DreamWorks Dragons: The Nine Realms. After Black-ish ended, he moved to its spin-off Grown-ish in season five, becoming its lead and narrator. His supporting turn in How to Blow Up a Pipeline (2023) marked his first wide-release live-action film.
