Lorielle New
Biography
Lorielle New is an actress who started as a photo-double and stand-in for Michelle Pfeiffer on three films. That work impressed director Jon Avnet, who gave her a first speaking role in Up Close and Personal (1996). She then secured her own roles, first with a guest spot on David E. Kelley's Emmy-winning series The Practice, playing a porn star on trial for murder. She became known for eccentric and frequently villainous characters in independent movies, including a werewolf, a hypnotist, a porn star, and a nerdy secretary. She worked with many directors and actors, and was especially proud of starring in Edgar Allen Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum for director David De Coteau. Her role as the diabolical JB Divay was called a delicious, entertaining, campy romp. She also ran a daily Internet talk show for more than five years.
