Getting ready for a role
Flanery was cast as the young Seelie Queen on Shadowhunters and had to perform the part with an English accent, which she said came as a surprise because she thought she might be auditioning for a vampire role.
First role
Flanery's first professional audition, in 2015, was for a lead role in the thriller Lavender, and she was cast as Alice. The film's premiere came later, at the Tribeca film festival in April 2016.
