Biography

Lisa Whelchel is a Texas-born actress, singer, and author who began as a Mouseketeer on The New Mickey Mouse Club, appearing in syndication from 1977 to 1978 after an audition that included a ventriloquism routine. She spent nine years playing Blair Warner, a wealthy and preppy student, on The Facts of Life and also took that part on Diff'rent Strokes, the series it spun off from.
