Linda Watkins

Linda Watkins was an American actress who worked on stage and in radio, film, and television. Born in Boston, she studied at the Theatre Guild and performed with its summer repertory company in Scarborough, New York. Soon after finishing its dramatic school course she was cast in a leading part in The Devil in the Cheese, and she later built up experience with the Hartman stock company in Columbus, Ohio and in a Shubert production of Trapped in Chicago. Her stage work also included The Wild Duck, June Moon, and Sweet Stranger. She made her movie debut in Sob Sister (1931) as a female reporter, and her later films included The Parent Trap (1961) and Good Neighbor Sam (1964), along with Huckleberry Finn (1974), Bad Ronald (1974), and From Hell It Came (1957). From 1950 she appeared often on television, guest starring in series such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Perry Mason, and The Waltons. She died in 1976.
