Biography

Leigh Scott is a filmmaker who has worked as a writer, director, producer, editor and cinematographer. He has more than two dozen feature films to his name. He studied at USC's School of Cinema-Television. While there, he interned at Roger Corman's Concorde Pictures, working in production, marketing and development. After graduating, he produced and directed his first feature, Beach House (1996), at age 22. Four years later came Art House (1998), a comedy selected for the Aspen U.S. Comedy Arts festival's official selection. Scott advocated early for digital acquisition instead of film and for digital post production. He taught editors at Warner Bros. how to use computer editing systems beginning in 1994. He was among the first directors to use RED digital cinema cameras and oversaw early motion-capture work for Microsoft.
