Lane Bradbury

Lane Bradbury is an American actress and writer who was born in Buckhead, Georgia, studied ballet as a girl and moved to New York City in the 1950s, where she was admitted to the Actors Studio. She made her Broadway debut as Jolly Adams in J.B. and was the first actress cast as Dainty June in the original Broadway run of Gypsy, later appearing in Tennessee Williams's Night of the Iguana with Bette Davis and in June Havoc's Marathon '33 from 1963 to 1964. Moving to Los Angeles in the 1960s, she built a long television career, including a recurring role as Merry Florene on Gunsmoke between 1968 and 1969 and guest spots on The Rockford Files and The Waltons. Her screen credits include the television movies Maybe I'll Come Home in the Spring (1971) and To Dance with the White Dog (1993), and the films Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) and The Ultimate Warrior (1975).
