Biography

Jordan Christopher was an American actor and singer who began in rock and roll. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, and raised in Akron, he put together a doo-wop group, the Fascinations, and then became singer and guitarist for the Wild Ones, the resident band at the Peppermint Lounge in New York. After leaving the group to build an acting career, he appeared in The Fat Spy (1966) and Return of the Seven (1966), and later took roles in Brainstorm (1983), Star 80 (1983), and That's Life! (1986). In Angel, Angel, Down We Go (1969), a cult film, he played a dissolute rock star opposite Jennifer Jones, his most celebrated part. He acted on Broadway in Sleuth, returned to acting from time to time, and helped run the New Theatre on 54th Street and the Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor.
