Joe Keaton
Biography
Joe Keaton was an American entertainer who worked in vaudeville as an eccentric dancer and later appeared in silent films. Born on July 6, 1867 south of Terre Haute, Indiana, he began in vaudeville with an act called the Two Keatons. The act became the Three Keatons when Buster Keaton joined, and the routine was rough-and-tumble, with Buster frequently being thrown around the stage. After Buster became successful in silent films, he helped Joe get small parts in several movies. Joe appeared alongside Buster in those films, moving from the stage to the screen. His film work consisted of small roles in several movies, often with Buster Keaton. He died in 1946.
