Jennie Garth
Biography
Jennie Garth is an American actress who grew up in Illinois and Arizona, studied dance and modeled, and was discovered at a talent competition by a Hollywood scout. In 1990 she took the role of Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 90210, playing the part across all ten seasons and directing two episodes, work that earned her a Young Artist Award and a Teen Choice Award nomination. The show opened the door to lead roles in television films such as Without Consent (1994), and she had supporting parts in theatrical features including My Brother's War (1997). From 2002 to 2006 she starred opposite Amanda Bynes as Valerie Tyler on the sitcom What I Like About You, and in 2007 she reached the semifinals of Dancing with the Stars. She later returned to Kelly Taylor for the 90210 spinoff in 2008 and published a memoir, Deep Thoughts from a Hollywood Blonde, in 2014.
