Jeff Pruitt

Jeff Pruitt is an American stunt coordinator, director, and actor. He was born in the north Georgia mountains. He raced motorcycles and competed in karate tournaments, earning a black belt in Tang Soo Do. During college he worked in Atlanta area film and television as a production assistant, camera operator, and extra, which led him into stunt performing. In Los Angeles in the 1980s he reconnected with a director from his Georgia days and began designing martial arts fights for Hollywood films. His early approach, which joined fast fight combinations to stunt falls and wire work, was considered unconventional and needed patient persuasion to be accepted. After several action pictures, he directed and stunt coordinated The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, mixing the Japanese series' style with stunts he devised. He later handled action for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and other television shows, features, music videos, and commercials, and Entertainment Weekly named him one of Hollywood's 100 Most Creative People.
