Jason Trost
Biography
Born in Los Angeles, Jason Trost is an American filmmaker and actor who lived in Frazier Park, California, as a teenager and drew on that setting for The FP, a 2011 comedy he co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in as JTro. The story follows gangs who settle disputes through a Dance Dance Revolution style arcade game. Also in 2011, he took on writing, directing, and starring duties for the superhero thriller All Superheroes Must Die, playing the hero Charge. He later appeared as Hamilton in Hatchet III (2013) and had a small, uncredited part in This Is the End. He released the reality television satire Wet and Reckless, playing a former marine known as The Lobo, and starred in three music videos for Slayer's Repentless album. In 2022, a third FP sequel premiered at Nightmares Film Festival, where he received the Esprit de Gore award.
