James Aubrey

James Aubrey was an English actor who worked in theater and on screen. He was born in Klagenfurt, Austria, and trained at the Drama Centre London from 1967 to 1970. His first professional stage part came in 1962 in Isle of Children, and he repeated that role on Broadway. At fourteen he made his screen debut as Ralph in Lord of the Flies (1963). He acted with the Citizens' Theatre in Glasgow, the Royal Court Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and later toured with the Cambridge Theatre Company. On television he played Gavin Sorenson in Bouquet of Barbed Wire and its sequel, Another Bouquet, and he appeared in Minder and The Sweeney. His films included Terror (1979) and The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (1980), where he played the pop singer B.J. Later credits included Forever Young (1986), Lytton's Diary and The Apocalypse Watch. He died in 2010.
