Jack Farthing

Biography

Jack Farthing is a British actor who grew up in North London and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art after studying History of Art at Oxford. He became known for his roles as Freddie Threepwood in Blandings from 2013 to 2014 and as George Warleggan, a villain in the BBC One drama Poldark, from 2015 to 2019. On film he played George Balfour in The Riot Club (2014), Marc Fisher in Love Wedding Repeat (2020), a Netflix romantic comedy, Joe in Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Lost Daughter (2021) and Charles, Prince of Wales in Spencer (2021). His role as Selby in the HBO and BBC series Rain Dogs (2023) brought him an Independent Spirit Award nomination in the supporting category for a new scripted series. In 2025 he appeared in the BBC's three-part Towards Zero, an Agatha Christie adaptation, as the estranged nephew of Angelica Huston's matriarch.
