Helena Michell

Helena Michell is an English actress who grew up in Hampstead, London, the daughter of actors Jeanette Sterke and Keith Michell. She first appeared on screen as a child in the drama Moments, acting alongside her parents and brother, and later trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before taking a part in the BBC sitcom Brush Strokes in 1986. Her early film work included Merchant Ivory's Maurice (1987) and a role opposite her father in The Deceivers (1988), while television brought appearances in an episode of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, At Bertram's Hotel (1987), and the series Piece of Cake. During the 1990s she worked steadily on television, in Jeeves and Wooster, Poirot, Devices and Desires (1991), Sharpe's Enemy (1994), as Sarah Dubreton, and Heartstones (1996). Stage work was mainly in children's theater, and her last notable screen role was in Little Box of Sweets (2007).
