Biography
Georgie Henley is an English actress from Ilkley, West Yorkshire, who began performing when she was young and first gained wide attention as Lucy Pevensie in the fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia. She played that role in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010); the franchise earned more than 1.5 billion dollars worldwide, while she received notice from critic groups and an Empire Award nomination. After the series ended, she took a lead in the thriller Perfect Sisters (2014) and starred in the independent mystery The Sisterhood of Night (2015), which drew praise and showed her in adult roles. She later played Margaret Tudor in The Spanish Princess from 2019 to 2020. Other work includes stage performances at Cambridge, directing and writing the short film TIDE, and a 2022 poetry pamphlet, Amphibian.
