Biography
Gemma Atkinson is an English actress and radio presenter from Bury, Greater Manchester, who came to prominence playing Lisa Hunter in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, a role she held from 2001 to 2005 and again in 2022, and took into three spin-off series, among them Hollyoaks: In the City. She later played the paramedic Tamzin Bayle in Casualty and Carly Hope in Emmerdale, and her films include Boogie Woogie (2009), How to Stop Being a Loser (2011), in which she played Hannah, and Devil's Pass (2013). Her stage work includes Calendar Girls in the West End and This Is How It Goes at the King's Head Theatre, and she also hosts a drive time show on the Hits Radio Network.
