Biography
Flex Alexander is an American actor, comedian and dancer who began as a teenager dancing in New York nightclubs, toured with Salt-n-Pepa as a dancer and choreographed for Mary J. Blige and Queen Latifah before his stand-up comedy debut in 1989. He turned to acting with his film debut in Juice (1992) and his first television role, on the ABC sitcom Where I Live (1993), then worked in short-lived series and in films such as She's All That (1999). He became best known as Flex Washington, the single father at the center of the UPN sitcom One on One, which ran from 2001 to 2006 and which he created and produced; the part earned him three NAACP Image Award nominations. Playing Michael Jackson in Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story (2004) brought a fourth. He also appeared in Snakes on a Plane (2006), The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) and recurring roles on Girlfriends, Single Ladies and Mixed-ish.
