Felicia Pearson

Felicia Pearson is an American actress, rapper, and author who became known for portraying Snoop on The Wire, a character based on herself. Michael K. Williams, one of that show's stars, met her in a Baltimore club and invited her to the set, where he introduced her to the writers and producers. Auditions followed, and she played Snoop between 2004 and 2008. Stephen King said the role was perhaps the most terrifying female villain ever seen in a television series. The part led to more acting work, including Spike Lee's Chi-Raq (2015) and Da Sweet Blood of Jesus (2014), plus a 2016 guest spot on the CBS drama Blue Bloods. She also appeared in music videos for Lil' Mo, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, A$AP Ferg, and Snoop Dogg, wrote the memoir Grace After Midnight (2007), and joined the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York for seasons seven and eight, from 2016 to 2018.
