Eva Gabor
Biography
Eva Gabor was a Hungarian-born American actress who began her screen career with Forced Landing at Paramount Pictures in 1941 and spent much of the 1950s in small parts, among them The Last Time I Saw Paris and Artists and Models. She had her own talk show, The Eva Gabor Show, for a single season, and later films included My Man Godfrey, Gigi and It Started with a Kiss. From 1965 to 1971 she played Lisa Douglas opposite Eddie Albert on the CBS sitcom Green Acres, a ratings hit that was canceled in the network's rural purge. She later voiced Duchess in The Aristocats (1970) and Miss Bianca in The Rescuers (1977) and The Rescuers Down Under (1990), was a panelist on Match Game, and in 1983 appeared on Broadway with Eddie Albert in You Can't Take It with You. In 1972 she launched a fashion collection with the designer Luis Estévez.
