Elizabeth Harrower
Biography
Elizabeth Harrower worked as an American actress and, in time, a writer for television, with a career that took in films and many series. Born in Alameda, she appeared ten times on Dennis the Menace, usually as the teacher Miss Perkins, four times on Perry Mason and twice on Gunsmoke as Mrs. O'Roarke, among a long list of shows, and kept acting on television until 1974. She also had film roles in True Grit and The Sterile Cuckoo (1969). In the late 1970s she became head writer of the daytime drama Days of Our Lives, and she spent much of the 1980s and early 1990s writing for The Young and the Restless. She finished her writing work on Generations in 1991, and in 2003 she appeared on The Young and the Restless as the con artist Charlotte Ramsey.
