Eddie Rouse
Biography
Eddie Rouse was an American character actor who got his start in Philadelphia theater. Born in Philadelphia, he began acting at the Bushfire Theatre of Performing Arts, then studied in North Carolina, where he met Danny McBride and filmmaker David Gordon Green. His feature debut came in Green's George Washington (2000), as a character's cranky uncle, and he appeared in more of Green's films, including All the Real Girls (2003). His other credits included American Gangster, The Number 23 and Pineapple Express, plus Pandorum (2009), Being Flynn (2012), Nature Calls (2012) and Low Down (2014). He took the lead in the 2014 short Rat Pack Rat as a Sammy Davis impersonator; the film won a special jury award at the Sundance Film Festival. He was cast as Kissy in HBO's Westworld and filmed the pilot in Utah shortly before he died in 2014.
