Dicky Barrett
Biography
Dicky Barrett is an American singer who spent most of his career fronting the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the ska punk band he sang with across its entire discography, and from 2004 to 2022 he was the announcer on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he played in Boston area groups including Cheapskates, Toxic Toast and Impact Unit before joining the Bosstones. The band's 1997 album Let's Face It was its biggest break, largely on the strength of the first single, The Impression That I Get. He performed on Saturday Night Live and on Sesame Street's Elmopalooza! (1998), hosted his own radio program, the Mighty Morning Show, on Indie 103.1 FM, and later co-founded the punk band the Defiant. The Bosstones announced their breakup in January 2022.
