Danny Belrose

Danny Belrose is an actor whose first break came in St. Louis, where he came across a troupe performing in a coffeehouse and took the part of Jerry in The Zoo Story, a production that drew a visit from the playwright Edward Albee. He went on to Columbia College in Chicago on a Presidential scholarship, then took smaller parts in shows such as The Journeymen Theater's Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll and Big Game Theater's Sirens of Titan, which David Cromer directed, while also doing improv at Second City. After he joined The Trap Door Theatre's company he appeared in sellout shows, playing Boogie, the young junkie, in the award-winning Sugar Down Billie Hoak and taking on Marlon Brando's Val in Orpheus Descending. The award-winning documentary Nobody Dies when Its Sunny, drawn from his time at the city mortuary in Portland, screened at festivals from Los Angeles to Amsterdam.
