Christopher Murney
Biography
The American actor and voice artist Christopher Murney was born in Narragansett, Rhode Island, and studied at the University of Rhode Island before earning a Master of Fine Arts in theater from Pennsylvania State University. He has worked on stage, in television, and in film. On television he played Buddy on The San Pedro Beach Bums and Buck Miller on One Life to Live, and he voiced Elisha Hunt Rhodes in the 1990 PBS mini-series The Civil War. He is perhaps most widely recognized for playing Mackie Bloom, a 1940s radio actor nicknamed The Man of a Thousand Voices, in the comedy Remember WENN, which AMC aired from 1996 to 1998. His films include The Last Dragon (1985), Maximum Overdrive (1986), The Secret of My Success (1987), Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989), and Barton Fink (1991). He has also done voice work for video games.
