Chris Farquhar
Biography
Chris Farquhar is a Canadian actor and magician who was raised in North Bay, Ontario, and began performing magic as a child after being influenced by David Copperfield, staging shows at birthdays, malls, schools, and staff functions. When he was fifteen, he performed at Dan Aykroyd's home, and Aykroyd gave him a written recommendation and advised him to pursue both magic and acting. After high school, Farquhar moved to Victoria, British Columbia, to study film and television acting at the Victoria Motion Picture School, and soon landed his first professional role, Nick Morten, in the science fiction series Alienated. The show lasted two seasons and his character appeared in three episodes. He then returned to Ontario, developed an illusion show that toured small venues from Ontario to Manitoba and Alberta, and later settled in Toronto, where he has taken commercials and bit parts in film and television.
