Carlos Bernard
Biography
Carlos Bernard is an American actor and director who started out on the stage before moving into television. Born in Evanston, Illinois, and raised in Chicago, he graduated from Illinois State University and then earned a Master of Fine Arts degree at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. His early work included A.C.T. productions such as Good, As You Like It, Hamlet and The Cherry Orchard, and he also appeared at the Mark Taper Forum in Scenes from an Execution. He became best known for playing Tony Almeida in 24 from 2001 to 2006, a role he returned to in 2009, in 24: Solitary in 2014 and in 24: Legacy in 2017. His other credits include guest roles on Walker, Texas Ranger, Burn Notice and Babylon 5, a regular part on The Young and the Restless, and the film Alien Raiders (2008).
