Calico Cooper
Biography
Calico Cooper is an American singer, dancer, actress and comedian who began performing in her father Alice Cooper's touring stage shows as a teenager. Born in Los Angeles, she was hired at 18 to take multiple roles in his Brutal Planet tour and to choreograph and design costumes. For roughly a decade she toured with his shows, directing portions of them and specializing in violent black comedy routines, among them the nurse character Nurse Rozetta. She stepped back from regular touring in 2011 to concentrate on acting, and her film credits include Dakota Skye (2008), Suck (2009), 13/13/13 (2013) and The Curse of Denton Rose (2020). On television she played Lila Black in Bloomers and guest starred as Jane Miller in an episode of Hawaii Five-0. She has sung and performed with the heavy metal band Beasto Blanco since 2012.

Early training
Cooper left the Alice Cooper tours in 2011 and, on the advice of local actors, took master classes with Ivana Chubbuck. Chubbuck then recommended her, and she successfully auditioned for The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
A change of course
In 2012, Chuck Garric formed Beasto Blanco and asked Cooper to sing backing vocals on the first album, Live Fast Die Loud. She had vowed never to join a band, doubting her singing, but Garric said to act like a singer, and in the studio she found she could sing.
A first
Cooper got her Screen Actors Guild card thanks to a part in a deleted scene from the 2007 Halloween remake.
Behind the camera
Cooper has directed commercials and music videos. Her production credits include the crime-comedy movie Love of Mass Destruction, in which she also acted, the short film The Taxi Man, and The Normal Ones, a single-episode TV series she wrote and appeared in.
