Bridgette Andersen
Biography
Bridgette Andersen was an American child actress and model. Born in Inglewood, she learned about acting from her father, who caught her at age two trying to get inside the television set and join the Our Gang players. She signed with a talent agent and spent three years doing fashion modeling and commercials. In 1982 she starred in Savannah Smiles as Savannah Driscoll, a part that earned the first of her four Youth in Film Award nominations. That same year she portrayed the young Mae West in the television film Mae West. For her work on The Mississippi during its 1983 to 1984 run, she earned a Youth in Film Award nomination. She also appeared as Celia in the brief CBS comedy Gun Shy, one of two children that Russell Donovan, played by Barry Van Dyke, wins in a card game.
