Betsy Jones-Moreland
Biography
Betsy Jones-Moreland, an American actress, worked as a secretary before building a career in stage, film, and television. Born in Brooklyn, she acted with the Valley Playhouse in Woodland Hills, California, during 1958 and with the Players Ring Theater in Los Angeles two years later. She also appeared in The Solid Gold Cadillac on Broadway and traveled with that play's national tour. In the mid-1950s she took small film roles and later acted in several Roger Corman productions, earning a lead part in Last Woman on Earth (1960). From there she worked mainly in television until 1975. Among her guest appearances were an episode of Ironside with Raymond Burr and a part as Nurse Brown in McHale's Navy in 1962. She first played Lorrie Garvin in a 1959 Perry Mason episode, and in the early 1990s she returned to that franchise as a recurring judge.
