Arden Cho
Biography
Arden Cho is an American actress and model who first gained notice for playing Kira Yukimura on the MTV series Teen Wolf from 2013 to 2016. Born in Amarillo, Texas, and raised in San Antonio and Plano, she studied at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she took her first drama classes and decided to pursue acting. After moving to Los Angeles, she appeared in the 2011 monster film Mega Python vs. Gatoroid before her Teen Wolf role brought wider recognition. She later starred in Netflix projects, including the legal drama Partner Track in 2022 and the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender in 2024. In 2025 she voiced Rumi, the lead speaking role in the animated musical KPop Demon Hunters, which became Netflix's most-watched film and earned her an Annie Award. She has also released music and built a following on YouTube.

First role
Cho had no screen credits when her first agent signed her. That agent took her on because of her resume of musical and physical talents, among them ballet, cello and piano.
Getting ready for a role
Cho auditioned for Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters because she was drawn to the film's Korean subject, and though she meant it as her final project, making it pushed her to keep acting.
A change of course
After Partner Track was canceled, Cho said the disappointment led her to quit acting, and she described herself as having retired from the business.

Cho won the Miss Korea Chicago competition in 2004, which let her compete in the Miss Korea Pageant in Seoul.
Early training
Cho took her first drama classes at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she had enrolled intending to become a lawyer, and the classes turned her toward acting.

Cho released her first single, "I'm Just a Girl", in 2011, serving as co-writer, composer and singer, and put out a self-produced music video for it on YouTube.
