Did you know?!
A first
Porter was the youngest Star Search contestant ever to win the competition, at age five, after a producer heard her singing in a hotel lobby and booked her for the next episode.
A role that slipped away
The next year, Porter was slated to join Perfect Strangers as a regular cast member, playing Tess Holland. ABC dropped the character after only one episode, since the network felt a child in the main cast would take focus off Larry Appleton and Balki Bartokomous.
Behind the award
Porter won season 10 of The Voice on May 24, 2016. She was the first artist to take the show with a female coach, which gave Aguilera her first coaching win.
