Alicia Goranson
Biography
Alicia Goranson is an American actress who studied acting in Chicago before landing the role of Becky Conner on Roseanne. It was only her second audition. She played Becky for five seasons, leaving in 1992 to attend Vassar College, though she returned part-time. Sarah Chalke then took over the role, and the two actresses traded the part back and forth, which became a running gag. After Roseanne, Goranson had supporting roles in films such as How to Make an American Quilt (1995), Boys Don't Cry (1999), and The Extra Man (2010), and guest starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Sex and the City, Damages, and Fringe. She returned as Becky for the 2018 Roseanne revival and then played Becky on the spin-off The Conners from 2018 to 2025. She also wrote an episode of The Conners.
