Adam Kennedy

Adam Kennedy was an American actor and screenwriter who was raised on a farm in Otterbein, Indiana. He trained for the stage at Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, began his career in France in a number of stage plays, and made his film debut in 1955 with The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell. In 1957 he joined the first season of the NBC western The Californians as the journalist Dion Patrick, a part dropped after the show drew low ratings. He then played Pvt. Maslow in Men in War (1957) and guest-starred on programs such as Gunsmoke, Frontier Circus and Lock-Up, with his final film credit coming in The Tall Stranger (1957). He also appeared in the soap opera The Doctors as the rancher Brock Hayden. Kennedy later wrote the screenplays for The Dove and Raise the Titanic and the novel The Domino Principle, which became a 1977 film. He died in 1997.
