Riding High was shot with two endings, one in which Eddie Kidd's character dies and one in which he lives, because nobody was sure Kidd would survive the final stunt sequence, a jump over a broken bridge that was the last part of the film shot.- According to Tony Klinger, the film ran out of money during production and his father, Michael Klinger, had to borrow money from a criminal to pay everyone.
- Sexploitation filmmaker Derek Ford wrote the script, first titled Bikers, after being impressed by stuntman Eddie Kidd on television; producer Michael Klinger eased Ford out because he felt the £500,000 budget could not be raised with him, and the movie ended up costing £3 million.
