Plot summary
Four men spend 2007 through 2010 trying to put electric cars back on the world market during a recession. Elon Musk, who made his fortune at PayPal, runs Tesla Motors, a California company that builds only high end electric cars, and he finances it largely with his own money while it takes serious hits. Bob Lutz, vice chairman of General Motors and the man largely responsible for the end of the EV1, now wants to be seen as the one who reinvents GM. Carlos Ghosn, chief of Renault-Nissan, pledges a billion dollars to beat Toyota to a pure electric vehicle. Greg Abbott, known professionally as Reverend Gadget, converts gas powered cars to electric in California and wants that work to become a business.
