Plot summary

The forensic pathologist Kaveh Nariman works in a medical examiner's office. Driving his car, he collides with a motorcycle carrying a family; the riders appear unhurt. The father turns down Nariman's offer to take his eight-year-old son to a clinic nearby and refuses his money as well. The following morning, at the hospital where he works, the boy's body is brought in for an autopsy, following a death described as suspicious. Other doctors attribute it to food poisoning, and Nariman is left to work out whether his own car caused the boy's death or whether it came about as they say.
