Plot summary
Max Matheson survived the crash that killed his fiancée, Kayla, a year ago, and he is still working through his guilt in sessions with Dr. Beaumont. His father, Jack, reopens the Mayflower, a department store in New Orleans, and hands Max the nighttime security job, replacing a guard who quit after cutting himself up during a shift. Jack introduces him to Keller Landreaux, who manages the store, to Jenna McCarty, the buyer, and to Ryan Parker, the vice-president of operations. Before his first shift, in the break room, Max sees a dead woman in a mirror, then Jenna's reflection tearing off her head. The woman keeps appearing to him in the store's glass.
