Plot summary
In 1997 Los Angeles, Jack Harris helps a sick friend run a nightclub and turns it into a success. Wayne Beering and Buck Dolby share a rented place and a drug habit. Watching pornographic reels, Wayne asks why no one offers such films online. Buck, once a scientist at NASA, spends about fifteen minutes writing a program so their site can charge customers by card. Money arrives quickly. For more content they go to Nikita Sokoloff, a Russian mob boss with a strip club, who takes 25 percent of the business in return for letting them film his dancers. The site thrives within a month; the pair party in Las Vegas and fall behind on what they owe Sokoloff. Jerry Haggerty, a lawyer they hired, brings Jack in, and Jack becomes a partner, paying Haggerty $200,000 to leave.

- The film's story comes from Christopher Mallick, who ran the internet billing company Epoch and founded ePassporte. While the film was being developed, Mallick was accused of taking millions of dollars from his own ePassporte customers to pay for it.
- A single long take set at an orgy was cut because keeping it would have pushed the film from an R rating to NC-17. The excised scene leaked onto the adult clip site Pornhub and was later added to the home-video release.
