Plot summary
Miso works as a housekeeper in South Korea, and her income barely covers her expenses. When her landlord raises the rent, she takes on more work, and a rise in cigarette prices pushes her toward a cheaper brand. Going over her budget, she decides that the rent must go, and draws up a list of former bandmates to stay with. The first refuses, saying her job leaves no room. The next, Hyeon Jeong, a keyboard player, welcomes her into the home she shares with her husband's family, though her husband objects and their argument carries to where Miso is. Hyeon Jeong confides that cooking for in-laws who ran a restaurant for thirty years is hard, and that the housework falls to her. Miso cooks breakfast for her the next morning and moves on.
